Job Description & How to Apply Below
A nationally recognized construction firm is seeking a Market Leader, Data Centers to take full ownership of its national data center business. This is a rare opportunity to shape the direction of one of the most dynamic sectors in the built environment, with complete accountability for P&L, top-tier client relationships, and long-term growth strategy. The selected candidate will lead a national bench of senior operations leaders, serve as the face of the market to hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise owners, and act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on investment and market direction.
For a proven mission critical executive ready to build, lead, and win at scale, this role offers true enterprise impact.
- Own the full P&L and cradle-to-grave performance of the national data center market.
- Deliver sales, gross profit, and forecast commitments while preventing erosion and slippage across the portfolio.
- Develop and maintain a rolling three-year strategic plan aligned with enterprise goals.
- Serve as the principal rainmaker, securing and growing relationships with top-tier hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise clients.
- Lead governance for major pursuits, including go/no-go, fee, contract, estimate, and GMP decisions.
- Set competitive intelligence strategy and position the firm nationally against key competitors.
- Build, coach, and retain a high-performing national team of Vice Presidents and Project Directors.
- Drive succession planning and leadership pipeline development across the market.
- Set the safety culture and lead market-wide corrective action and prevention strategy.
- Advise executive leadership on market direction, investment, and growth.
- Establish national standards for pull planning, production-based execution, and fast-track delivery.
- Drive QA/QC rigor and early, fully integrated commissioning across all projects.
- Direct national equipment procurement strategy, including long-lead gear and supply chain risk.
- Oversee digital delivery strategy, including BIM coordination, digital twins, and turnover systems.
- Set phasing and live-environment protocols for work in and around active data halls.
- Partner with clients on speed-to-market strategies such as modularization, prefabrication, and early work packages.
