Warehouse Order Selection Associate - All Shifts

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for tasks in relation to picking customer orders utilizing voice picking equipment to select, clean, pack and palletize food and accessory pet products. Expected to be able to perform all aspects of the job as described below.

SHIFT DETAILS

Day Shift: Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Evening Shift: Monday thru Friday, 3:30pm – 11:30pm

Night Shift: Monday thru Friday, 5:30pm – 1:30am

STARTING WAGES

All

Shifts:

Base Rate $15.00 - $17.00 per hour based on experience

Evening Shift: additional $2.00 per hour shift premium

Night Shift: additional $2.00 per hour shift premium

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect merchandise to ensure only quality product is used to complete the order.

Meet production, quality, and accuracy levels as established by business unit. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment.

Select food and/or accessory products to fill customer orders completely and accurately.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Work extended hours, as required by operational needs.

Flexibility to work in other areas and departments, as needed. Must be able to cross train in other departmental areas.

Maintain a clean workplace to avoid tripping hazards or other accidents. Follow all food safety policies and procedures including performing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments and related activities as directed.

Promote a safe work environment by following facility and company safety guidelines. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Safely operate and become certified in use of electric pallet jack, walk-rider, and/or other required equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 or more years related warehouse experience, preferred.
  • Voice picking (Vocollect)/RF scanner experience, preferred.

Ability to count and perform basic math.

Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds, and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The warehouse is a non-climate-controlled facility. The outside temperature generally reflects the inside temperature with little air circulation. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust.

Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety vest and any other personal protective equipment as required for the facility/work area (i.e., gloves, safety shoes).
