** As an Experienced Machinist, you will perform complex, close‑tolerance machining operations on a wide variety of parts using CNC, NC, and manual machines. You will be responsible for complete setups, machining operations, inspection, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment while producing precision components.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Secure job assignments and instructions for complex machining operations.
* Determine sequence of operations, setups, feeds, speeds, and offsets.
* Operate multiple CNC, NC, and manual machines as required.
* Identify, position, and secure work pieces manually or using jib or overhead cranes.
* Set up and align parts using surface gauges, levels, wedges, and other alignment tools.
* Assemble tooling including chucks, collets, drills, taps, reamers, facing, turning, and boring tools.
* Select, install, and index cutting tools and attachments.
* Load programs, set tool offsets, and perform trial runs to verify program accuracy.
* Perform conversational programming and make program adjustments during machining cycles.
* Perform close‑tolerance machining operations including turning, facing, boring, counterboring, drilling, reaming, milling, tapping, and spot facing.
* Inspect machined parts to ensure dimensions, tolerances, and quality requirements are met.
* Deburr, clean, stamp, and properly identify completed parts.
* Insert bushings into parts and assemblies as required.
* Perform routine preventive maintenance including lubrication and filter changes.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area and comply with all safety and inspection requirements.
** Required Qualifications
*** Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on machining experience.
* Demonstrated ability to perform complex machining operations.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
* Knowledge of gaging, indicating, and measuring techniques, including verniers and micrometers.
* Working knowledge of basic machine shop math, including high‑school level trigonometry.
* Understanding of standard machine shop practices, terminology, and procedures.
