Overview

2nd Shift Operator

Hours:

3:15pm to 11:45pm Monday through Friday

Pay: $18-22/hour based on experience

Responsibilities
  • Perform packaging and processing of product using form, fill and seal machine.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate, adjust and assist to maintain set-up of packaging machines to produce packaged products.
  • Ensure production process orders are carried out in accordance with RMF forms, RMW work instructions and/or video board instructions including a sign-off from the supervisor or lead on production setups at the start of each shift or process as needed.
  • Perform all set-up and changeovers such as:
    Threading packaging material, changing die/lot number for marking, maintaining adjustment for fill or seal and cleaning equipment at regular intervals and before & after each use.
  • Responsible for accurately weighing products and recording weights according to specifications of work orders.
  • Responsible for applying and using correct labels on products.
  • Notify production Lead or Material Handler of needs for ingredients or packaging materials.
  • Responsible for applying correct lot numbers to pails, bags, cartons and/or cases and recording lot code formats on production paperwork.
  • Responsible for placing bags, pails or cases correctly onto pallets.
  • Responsible for reporting malfunctions and errors and requesting corrective action.
  • Responsible for cleaning and performing routine maintenance on equipment and packaging machine.
  • Responsible for adhering to all Quality Control requirements.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must successfully complete training in:
    Basic Hazard Communication
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions. Ability to effectively communicate information to supervisor and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers.
  • Must be able to use a basic calculator.
  • Ability to operate computerized equipment is required.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend digital scale readings.
