1st shift 6am - 2:30pm
$22 - $28 p/hr
As part of our steel fabrication team, you will be responsible for producing a wide array of weldments to exact specifications, ensuring they fit correctly, and performing component assembly tasks.
Responsibilities- Position and secure work pieces using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines or hand tools.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead position.
- Hand weld or flame-cut equipment to weld or join metal components.
- Complete open table set ups.
- Work with gauge steel through to thick plate.
- Assist with welding of weldments.
- Operate forklift.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed by management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Overhead crane and forklift certified is a plus.
- Strong math skills, ability to read a tape measure, and understanding of blueprints.
- Experience in Metal Core 052 to 06, Hard Wire 035 to 045, Flux Core 052 to 062, and Multiple Pass a must.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, comfort working with hand tools, grinder, torch, etc.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
