Position

Description

The Team Lead will serve as the area Supervisor’s assistant and back‑up. The Team Lead must possess a thorough knowledge of all current processes and be able to assist other team members as needed to support daily activities.

What You Will Do
  • Recognize scheduling, coverage gaps in all work areas and move team members as needed to meet production requirements and shipping deadlines.
  • Identify training opportunities for technicians, work with Supervisor to arrange additional training as needed.
  • Possess sufficient technical knowledge to assist repair techs as needed
  • Review paperwork errors and review with repair techs
  • Review audit finding with repair techs
  • Assist with denied warranty approvals as required
  • Perform all of the necessary repairs as needed
  • Communicate with repair techs, data entry and management
  • Read and comprehend repair order information and parts schematics
  • Diagnose the tool by performing a complete function test
  • Perform complete function test to confirm the tool is repaired properly
  • Complete the information on the repair order form
  • Make decisions as to feasibility of repairs.
  • Keep records of parts used and provide data for billing and/or warranty information.
  • Recognize and report operational irregularities and defective materials.
  • Set up and perform electrical and mechanical tests to insure product's repair and/or work performed is in conformance with prescribed quality standards.
  • Perform prescribed inspections.
  • Responsible for quality of work, safety and 5S in assigned area.
  • Troubleshoot and assist team members with AX or other process issues.
  • Assist Supervisor in other areas as directed.
  • Must be able to cover any shift to support Supervisor absence
What You Will Bring
  • Mechanical and diagnostic skills required
  • One to two years of previous experience in electrical and/or mechanical repair.
  • High school or GED diploma required
  • Computer skills required, AX experience a plus
  • Requires a high level of attention to detail
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interact well with staff members at all levels
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
