Salary: $30-$37/hr + $1.50 shift differential
Shift: 7PM-7AM (4 on/4off)
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, gearboxes, couplings, conveyor systems, and production machines.
- Remove, repair, and replace defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Control downtime by informing production workers of preventive maintenance techniques and ensuring compliance.
- Perform required preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform equipment setup, adjustments, minor repairs, and tooling replacements to ensure proper functionality and meet product specifications.
- Ensure quality of assembly by following samples, orders, and other documents to use the correct components.
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues by observing operations, using precision measuring tools (rules, scales, gauges, and fixtures), and following diagrams, sketches, and engineering specifications.
- Maintain documentation of maintenance activities, including reports on issues, solutions, and preventive actions.
- Work closely with production employees, Leads, Process Managers, and Engineers to maximize machine uptime and improve processes.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of tools, spare parts, and materials needed for maintenance and production.
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and workplace organization standards.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Completion of an Industrial Maintenance Program is a plus.
Skills and Abilities
:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in using measuring devices, rules, scales, gauges, and fixtures.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task under deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a positive and self-motivated attitude.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and Microsoft Office is a plus.
