Automatic Screw Machine Operator - 1st Shift (Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire)

Location: New Berlin
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Steel-toe boots required

We are looking for an Automatic Screw Machine Operator to set up and operate Brown & Sharpe or similar single-spindle automatic screw machines. If you have experience with screw machines and machining metal materials, this could be a great opportunity for you!

• Read blueprints or job orders to determine specifications (dimensions, tolerances, materials, etc.).
• Set up and operate automatic screw machines with proper tooling, cutting speeds, and feed rates.
• Load bar stock into the machine and adjust cams, gears, and stops.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety and ISO guidelines.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating screw machines and understanding how they work.
• Ability to read and use micrometers, calipers, height stands, and comparators.
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing).
• Ability to interpret instructions from blueprints, written, or oral sources.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for troubleshooting programming, tooling, and material issues.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment near moving machinery, oils, and solvents.
