Mechanical Assembler

Position Title: Mechanical Assembler

Wage: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am - 4:30pm (Monday - Thursday)

• Perform bench and structural assembly, boxing, and bagging of parts, components, and assemblies for snowplow and ice control product lines and accessories
• Participate in team-based manufacturing and total quality commitment activities
• Assume ownership of product quality and workplace safety
• Participate in training and 6‑S activities
• Perform designated maintenance functions
• Assemble products in paced conveyor and non‑paced environments
• Set up and operate assembly and packaging equipment
• Unload parts from powered conveyors
• Operate bagging machines, strappers, and assorted power and hand tools
• Maintain safe working conditions and 6‑S standards
• Meet production plans and takt time requirements
• Reduce and control scrap
• Report assembly, packaging, or workplace issues to BU lead or supervisor
• Use various material handling equipment
• Perform timely preventive maintenance

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous assembly experience
• Ability to comply with all regulations, procedures, and company policies
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to reach, bend, and crouch throughout shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
