AboutThe Role
We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join our Metrology team, specializing in the calibration and certification of high-precision electronic test and measurement equipment. In this role, you will perform complex calibrations, adjustments, and repairs on a variety of assets, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and frequency counters. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment meets ISO/IEC 17025 standards and manufacturer specifications, documenting uncertainties, and maintaining equipment integrity.

- Calibrate electronic, and other, equipment
- Maintain documentation, which includes but is not limited to the metrology database, calibration certificates, equipment history forms, and automated calibration software
- Communicate with customers as it relates to the progress of testing, repair and/or service(s)
- Generate certificates of calibration or out-of-tolerance reports as required. Present certificates in the correct format to meet customer requirements
- Identify and use appropriate measurement procedures. Suggest ways to make procedures more efficient
- Have knowledge of standard principles with practical experience in applying them
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values
- Manage the quality of your own work
- Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
- Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding
- Improve and maintain technical proficiency in calibration theory, methods and equipment
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Previous experience in instrumentation and control, calibrating, maintaining and repairing equipment or related equivalent.
- Experience and/or training working with electronic equipment
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 and laboratory accreditation.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
- Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills.
- Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
