Floater - Parts Department

A Parts Department Floater provides flexible support across various functions within the parts department, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role involves assisting with inventory management, order fulfillment, and inter-departmental coordination. The floater adapts quickly to shifting priorities, fills in where needed most, and plays a vital role in maintaining workflow efficiency and high service standards.

• Support daily operations by assisting with parts receiving, stocking, and inventory tracking.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery and availability of necessary parts.
• Moving goods and materials to and from designated areas in the facility
• Moving goods packed on pallets around the facility
• Emptying material and debris, such as trash and oil from pods
• Stacking Empty Pallets and maintaining organization and cleanliness of work area
• Assemble orders and prepare products for shipment
• Follow directions from team leads, supervisors and managers, be proactive and helpful
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, be at your workstation on time daily
• Adhere to all safety rules, have great attendance and give it your all every day

• Ability to properly take and read various gages and dimensions, able to follow oral and written instructions
• Mechanical background, past machine shop and automotive parts experience preferred
• Must be 18 years old, high school diploma preferred, detail oriented, ability to bend, twist, pull & push
• Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and may have to work with chemicals
• Skill of working with your hands, multiple types of tools, fixtures, gages and other instruments
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand & work on your feet for 8+ hours a day and under pressure at times
• Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, communication and decision-making skills
• Self-starting and motivation; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others
• Adhere to all safety rules, give it your all every day, must have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
