Systems Engineer
Milwaukee, WI (9-Month Contract)
CTG is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to develop and maintain automation scripts for enterprise infrastructure. This role focuses on orchestrating server failovers, automating service restarts, IIS pool recycles, MSSQL queries, and HTTP REST calls for technologies like F5 or Net Scaler load balancers.
Experience with
Python and automation tools like Ansible is essential.
- Automate server failover, service restarts, and multi-tier workflows.
- Configure and maintain Linux and Windows systems (kernel tuning, registry settings).
- Develop scripts for load balancer and database operations.
- Optimize existing automation for efficiency and reliability.
Skills:
- Python scripting and/or Ansible automation expertise.
- Strong experience with Windows/Linux systems administration.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, F5/Net Scaler, IIS, MSSQL.
- Proven track record of enterprise infrastructure automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
