Production Scheduler – Global Power Components
Milwaukee, WI
Global Power produces a wide variety of custom weld assemblies, fabricated metal buildings, and large complex assemblies of power equipment. The Production Scheduler will organize and disseminate information to achieve maximum efficiency in production activities.
Responsibilities- Compile information from a variety of sources into a master schedule.
- Improve communication methods and scheduling processes. Increase visibility of information to stakeholders on the plant floor.
- Check progress of work on the plant floor and report in the master schedule.
- Assist in coordinating the flow of work and materials between departments.
- Evaluate 'make-to-stock' inventory and its impact on downstream production.
- Closely track status details on 'high profile' jobs to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Quality, and Logistics to align production with material and capacity constraints.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed.
- Report to the Operations Manager, from within the Production Control team.
- Maintain an analytical mindset; distill streams of information into useful, pertinent, actionable information for production supervisors. Demonstrate astute attention to detail.
- Cooperatively function within a team of engineers and production personnel.
- Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant experience in production planning, scheduling, project management, or operations.
- Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems, Project Management Tools, and Excel features such as tables, filters, and sorting. Familiarity with Smartsheet or Epicor is preferred.
- Verbal & written communication skills. Professional demeanor.
