- Formel D is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer with strong ZEISS programming and troubleshooting experience to support dimensional inspection and quality activities in a manufacturing environment.
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ZEISS Calypso software, advanced metrology equipment, blueprint interpretation, and root cause analysis.
- This role will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CMM programs while ensuring product compliance to customer specifications and quality standards.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or metrology certification preferred.
- 3–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- 3+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience using ZEISS Calypso software.
- Strong troubleshooting experience with ZEISS CMM equipment and inspection systems.
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T, blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings.
- Experience with precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and hand gages.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Develop, validate, optimize, and maintain CMM programs using ZEISS Calypso software.
- Perform dimensional inspections using ZEISS CMM equipment.
- Troubleshoot CMM programs, probes, fixtures, and measurement issues.
- Interpret GD&T requirements and customer specifications.
- Generate detailed inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Verify calibration status and maintain inspection equipment.
- Support launch activities, containment actions, and customer audits.
- Experience in automotive or battery manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of SPC, MSA, PPAP, and quality core tools.
- Experience with PC-DMIS or additional metrology software is a plus.
