Iron Foundry Operator - Herman Pattern Hauler/Clean up SH3 SK2
Location:
Onsite – Kohler, WI
Compensation: $26.55 per hour, plus $1.50 shift premium.
Shift: 3rd Shift, 9:00PM – 5:18AM, plus overtime. Occasional mandatory overtime may be required as needed.
We are looking for a qualified candidate to join our Cast Iron division.
Responsibilities- Perform all jobs on the Herman Line to provide relief and to train new associates.
- Check changes and maintain day codes on all patterns.
- Check Sprue Formers go/no‑go gauge before and after pattern changes.
- Deliver patterns to and from pattern storage area.
- Operate core setting robot.
- Perform pattern changes.
- Operate hoist and crane, perform safety check sheet and OPM list.
- Deliver core and change core in the robot core setting area.
- Operate PIV and perform checklist.
- Communicate with operator and supervisor on pattern changes.
- Inspect patterns and carriers when installing and removing patterns from the machine; tag patterns appropriately.
- Operate slag auto‑pour furnace as required daily.
- Attend tier‑one meetings.
- Clean all areas as required.
- Wear required PPE.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout and confined-space rules (training required).
- Must be able to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship.
- Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical capability to perform essential duties, including bending, lifting, and pushing weight.
- Successful completion of drug screen and background check.
- Reliability: consistent attendance and work performance.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse experience.
