As a Quality Technician, you are responsible for monitoring and inspecting products on the production line to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications. Your day is spent verifying that production processes and personnel follow work instructions, are using properly calibrated equipment, and maintaining a safe work environment. You play a key role in identifying and segregating non‑conforming materials and escalating quality issues to prevent defective products from reaching the customer.

- Safety Compliance:
Ensure all quality‑related tasks are performed in accordance with company and regulatory safety requirements. Report any unsafe conditions or quality hazards to production supervision immediately. - Ensure safety concerns are reported promptly, actively monitor safety, address safety non‑compliance promptly, involve Supervisor as necessary.
- Product Inspection:
Perform regular in‑process and final inspections of products on the production line, both visually and using measurement tools, to confirm they meet specifications. - Tool and Equipment Verification:
Check that production operators are using the correct tools for each task and that all tools are in proper working condition. - Calibration Control:
Verify the calibration status of measurement tools and equipment used on the line to ensure accuracy. Remove any equipment that is out of calibration from service. - Labeling and Identification:
Inspect products and materials to ensure they are correctly labeled and identified throughout the production process. - Non‑Conforming Material Control:
Identify, tag, and segregate any non‑conforming products or materials. - Document findings to prevent further use and ensure proper disposition.
- Work Instruction Compliance:
Regularly audit production activities to confirm that all personnel are strictly adhering to current work instructions, procedures, quality standards and alerts. When VKS is available, confirm that personnel is logged into VKS and following it. - Issue Escalation:
Escalate any conflicts with requirements, persistent non‑conformances, or unresolved quality issues to the Quality Manager or production supervisor in a timely manner. - Documentation and Reporting:
Accurately complete all inspection and testing records. Document inspection results and non‑conformances and summarize findings in regular reports. - Team
Collaboration:
Communicate clearly and effectively with production line operators, maintenance staff, and quality team members regarding quality concerns, inspection results, and corrective actions. - The above list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned.
- Must be 18 years old, high school diploma, and have regular reliable and predictable attendance.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Prior experience in various production roles, including Quality or Engineering, is preferred.
- Proficiency with basic measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail with a results‑driven approach.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work instructions.
