Where you'll work...

Located at our West Milwaukee manufacturing facility, you'll spend the majority of your time on the production floor supporting employees, monitoring performance, resolving challenges, and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of daily bakery operations.

When you'll work...

This is a full-time salaried leadership position. Schedule flexibility is required to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including occasional extended hours, weekends, or off-shift support as business needs dictate.

What you'll do...
  • Lead daily bakery operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and efficiency goals
  • Coach, develop, and provide ongoing feedback to bakery associates
  • Establish clear expectations and drive accountability for performance
  • Support employee onboarding, training, and development initiatives
  • Address attendance, behavioral, and performance concerns in partnership with Human Resources
  • Monitor staffing levels and coordinate resources to support operational needs
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, USDA, BRC, and workplace safety requirements
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Sanitation, and other departments to resolve issues and improve performance
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
  • Foster an engaged, team-oriented culture aligned with Palermo's values
What you'll bring...

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in bakery or food production
  • 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience in a production environment
  • Demonstrated ability to coach employees, drive accountability, and achieve operational goals
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in frozen food manufacturing
  • Post-secondary education in leadership, business, or a related field
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills
  • Experience working in USDA, OSHA, GMP, and BRC regulated environments
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
