8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Weekly 40 hours [Mon-Fri]

• Organized and time‑oriented individual with the ability and drive to contribute toward the quick turn‑around time on finished models while ensuring fine detail and accuracy.
• Open to exploring new techniques related to part finishing and machining.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of stereo lithography, 3D printing, or other prototype model finishing preferred.
• Experience including ability to use CAD software and read CAD‑related drawings preferred.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. a must.
• High school diploma (B.S. degree is a plus).

• Perform cleaning and post processing of SLA and 3D printed models, via hand finishing and secondary processes such as ultrasonic cleaning, sandblasting, hand sanding, polishing, and painting while maintaining accuracy and visual aesthetics.
• Use precision measurement devices to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain proficiency in Magic’s, 3D Lightyear, or other CAD software programs to verify geometries before finishing and take key measurements in order to track tolerances while hand finishing.
• Responsible for machining and/or finishing of components, including post processing of Direct Metal Laser Sintering metal components and for downstream operations such as Direct Inject, Al/epoxy composite and conventional tooling.
• Perform proper maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Work in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices, observe all BDT Safety and Quality Standards.
• Wear proper safety equipment as required.
