Are you a hands-on machining professional who enjoys leading by example? One of our longstanding manufacturing clients is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Shop Lead to help oversee daily operations while remaining actively involved on the shop floor.
This is a working lead position, not a desk job. The right candidate will bring strong machining knowledge, the ability to support and develop team members, and a commitment to safety, quality, and production goals.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and support machine shop employees on 2nd shift
- Serve as a technical resource for setup, machining, and troubleshooting
- Help coordinate daily workflow and priorities to meet production schedules
- Monitor quality standards and promote continuous improvement
- Train and mentor team members as needed
- Partner with management to drive safety, productivity, and teamwork
- Remain hands-on in machining operations and assist where needed
What We're Looking For:
- Previous machine shop leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong machining background in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documentation
- Experience with CNC machining operations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A team-oriented leader who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working alongside the crew

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
