Line Lead, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Job Summary

Lead and motivate a group of production operators to meet the company's goals in terms of quality, schedule, yield, and productivity according to procedure.

• Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in managing the line when necessary or when instructed.
• Drive operators to achieve satisfactory levels of machine utilization, efficiency, and minimum downtime.
• Highlight to the Manufacturing Supervisor any high fallout situations.
• Achieve the daily standards set by the Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Identify and develop potential operators, ensuring they use the right equipment at the right time and motivating them for greater throughput, quality, and efficiency.
• Guide and assist operators in acquiring the skills required to perform their jobs.
• Monitor and update hourly production status.
• Monitor the CIQ system and ensure it is properly implemented on the production line, ensuring work meets or exceeds all standards.
• Serve as a communication link between operators and management.

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficiency with a personal computer, including a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence; read and understand visual aid.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Strong basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and working with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.
