Job Overview:

Paper Machinery Corporation is currently seeking an experienced Hurco Mill Operator to join our skilled machine shop team. This position is ideal for candidates who are proficient in operating vertical or horizontal Hurco mills in a high‑precision, low‑volume environment. Candidates must understand engineering drawings, GD&T, fixturing techniques, and basic G/M code programming.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings with a solid grasp of GD&T.
  • Operate vertical and horizontal (Hurco) CNC mills; change and manage tooling.
  • Use non‑programmable measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) for inspection.
  • Implement proper fixturing and work holding for accuracy and repeatability.
  • Debug new programs and perform first‑piece validation checks.
  • Apply strong machining fundamentals to maintain high‑quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience operating CNC mills in a precision machining environment.
  • Understanding of G and M Code programming.
  • Conversational programming required.
  • Strong measuring and inspection skills.
  • Familiarity with fixturing, tooling, and shop math.
