Job Description & How to Apply Below

If you're looking for a role where your ideas are seen, your work directly impacts production, and you're more than just another engineer in a large organization, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

We're a financially stable, well-established precision machining manufacturer with decades of success supplying complex components to demanding industries. Unlike larger corporations where engineers can become siloed, you'll work side-by-side with Operations, Production, Quality, and Leadership, giving you the visibility to influence how parts are made, processes are improved, and technology is implemented.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Outstanding Stability – Join a long-standing manufacturer with an excellent reputation and consistent business.
  • High Visibility – Work directly with leadership and manufacturing teams where your contributions are recognized and implemented.
  • State-of-the-Art CNC Environment – Modern machining equipment with continued investment in new technology.
  • Technical Ownership – Make decisions that directly improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Career Growth – Expand your expertise in CAD/CAM programming, manufacturing engineering, tooling, and process optimization.
  • Collaborative Culture – Small enough to make an impact, large enough to offer long-term career stability.
Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day manufacturing operations by resolving production and engineering-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Operations to improve manufacturability, product quality, and overall process performance.
  • Design and update manufacturing documentation, process sheets, setup instructions, and engineering drawings.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs using Mastercam for mills, lathes, and Swiss machining centers.
  • Utilize Solid Works to design fixtures, work holding, tooling concepts, and manufacturing improvements.
  • Evaluate and implement new cutting tools, tooling strategies, and fixturing to reduce cycle times and improve quality.
  • Support machining operations from initial setup through first-piece approval and process validation.
  • Analyze machining processes and identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce scrap, and increase machine utilization.
  • Troubleshoot CNC machining issues involving tooling, offsets, feeds, speeds, work holding, and program optimization.
  • Partner closely with machinists and setup personnel to continuously refine manufacturing processes.
  • Develop standardized setup documentation and best practices to improve repeatability across the shop.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, tooling performance, machine efficiency, and overall manufacturing productivity.
  • Stay current on emerging CAD/CAM technologies, cutting tool advancements, and machining best practices.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience within a CNC machining environment.
  • Experience programming CNC mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machines using Mastercam
    .
  • Strong proficiency with Solid Works or similar CAD software.
  • Knowledge of CNC tooling, work holding, fixtures, GD&T, and machining processes.
  • Hands-on understanding of precision machining, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with machinists, programmers, production, and quality teams.
  • Passion for improving manufacturing processes and solving technical challenges on the shop floor.

Compensation: $95,000 - $100,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
