We are seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to support and optimize operations at its Sussex manufacturing facility. This position will focus heavily on process improvement, manufacturing efficiency, downtime reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives across flexible packaging converting operations. This is a highly visible plant-floor engineering role where you will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Operations teams to improve throughput, reduce waste, optimize machine performance, and drive operational excellence.
The facility includes both blown film extrusion and converting operations within a fast-paced, high-speed manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Support daily manufacturing operations and troubleshoot production/process issues in real time
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on:
- Improving setup/changeover times
- Scrap reduction
- Increasing throughput and efficiency
- Analyze manufacturing data and identify process improvement opportunities
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Partner closely with operators, maintenance, quality, and production leadership
- Improve process consistency and establish proactive process controls
- Support equipment/process optimization across:
Film converting, Web handling, Slitting
Laminating, Bag making operations
- Assist with capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process validations as needed
- Promote Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement culture throughout the plant
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience within manufacturing
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience driving Lean / Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Hands-on approach with strong plant-floor engagement
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
