CNC Programmer
Position Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Location: Sussex, WI (North)
Summary: LEAD Technical is currently looking for a CNC programmer for our client in Sussex, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for producing quality parts through setup, programming and operating both manual and CNC machines. This is a DIRECT HIRE role that is available immediately.
Responsibilities- Perform complex machine operations to meet precise and close tolerance and finish requirements.
- Program all manual and CNC machines.
- Select, modify, prepare proper tooling for jobs.
- Correct deviations, adjust machine speeds and feeds, and calibrate and change cutters.
- Diagnose operating difficulties. Troubleshoot, repair and correct basic machine issues, tooling, or replacement parts.
- Review set up sheets and specifications to determine set up procedure, machine sequence and dimensions.
- Interpret engineering drawings. Identify and correct errors or recommend potential improvements in the drawings to engineers and/or management.
- Complete first piece inspection and use a variety of precision measuring and inspection devices to ensure parts conform to specifications.
- Work with and train apprentices or other machinists/operators.
- 3+ years experience in CNC machining.
- A minimum 3 years with Master Cam strongly preferred.
- Ability program and operate a machine simultaneously.
- Completion of an apprenticeship with journeyman card or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with types of controls such as Mazak, Fanuc and Mazatrol. Mazak experience preferred.
- Knowledge of G & M codes.
