Assistant Plant Manager / Plant Maintenance Responsibilities:- Support 2nd shift production planning and execution to meet quality and delivery targets
- Lead by example in maintaining a strong safety and environmental compliance culture
- Supervise, train, and evaluate employees to drive performance and development
- Ensure reliable operation of production equipment and plant systems through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Diagnose, repair, and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Rebuild and overhaul machines and components (dismantling, inspection, machining, part replacement) - Partner with leadership to improve efficiency, reliability, and overall plant performance
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and repair skills
- Ability to read drawings and use precision measuring tools
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and machining principles
- Experience with shop math, tooling, and material machining characteristics
- Self-starter able to prioritize and work independently
- Experience with die cast machines (Techmire, Frech, or similar) preferred
- Basic welding and electrical skills preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and hands-on work with tools
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
