Process Engineer Intern; Year-Round

Charter Wire is a leading Tier 1 supplier and manufacturer of Engineered Shaped Wire, Cold Finished Bar, and Cold-Headed and Stamped Components to various industries, including Automotive, Agriculture, Construction, Consumer, Industrial and Oil & Gas.

Provide technical support to operations by spending time on the floor learning processes, troubleshooting, and leading and/or participating on multiple process improvement teams.

  Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.

  Year-round internship

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Engineering or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software:
  Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• AutoCAD experience.

• Investigate, evaluate and develop project estimates for a variety of operational business challenges at Charter Wire.
• Design solutions to resolve challenges throughout the building via Auto Cad (Solid Works) part creation with occasional utilization of 3D printing.
• Manage process data collection and analysis as part of project tracking and completion.

• Work on meaningful projects while receiving mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities that help launch your career.
