This is an in-person position based in Milwaukee, WI.

The Public Relations Account Supervisor plays a critical role within the agency’s Public Relations and Social Media team. The primary responsibility of this individual is to drive relentless positive results for our clients, and always provide ideas that move the needle at each step of the way. The PR Account Supervisor must think both strategically and creatively to garner results and ensure that our clients receive the best PR work in the Midwest and beyond.

The role requires a marketing mind in building appropriate influencer, media and community engagement outreach for clients. This role involves a high degree of visibility and requires abilities in multiple areas including public relations, crisis communications, social media marketing, event coordination, community engagement, project management, thought leadership, content creation and relationship management.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education/

Experience:
  • Minimum five years’ experience in communications, agency, media or public relations.
Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns.
  • Experience working with a team of creative and/or public relations and media outreach experts.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, including in front of large groups of people.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of public relations best practices and trends.
  • Possess an innately curious mind. Think logically, based on research and reasoning, and be inspired by creativity and human behaviors.
  • Experience pitching, crafting and placing content externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops comprehensive PR plans including strategy, goals, budget and tactics.
  • Builds Scopes of Work and timelines for client projects.
  • Writes and edits media materials, including: pitches, news releases, talking points, fact sheets, spokesperson bios, blog posts and more.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key journalists, media outlets and social media influencers.
  • Manages inquiries from media, influencers and organizations.
  • Oversees the implementation of PR campaigns from start to finish, including media outreach, media event planning and coordination with other marketing initiatives.
  • Monitors media coverage and PR campaign performance, providing clients with detailed reports and insights to measure impact and refine future strategies.
  • Serves as day-to-day strategic partner and lead on several clients for the agency.
  • Maintains client status reports and leads client meetings.
  • Provides strategic guidance on identifying and engaging with local, regional, national and trade media.
  • Cultivates strong relationships with community partners and organizations in order to build goodwill on behalf of clients.
  • Provides strategic crisis communication counsel, ensuring timely and effective communication that protects client reputations.
  • Collaborates with departments across the agency on projects.
  • Ensures tactical plans achieve client objectives and strategies.
  • Directs strategy and execution of social media platforms.
  • Educates and supports client and internal teams regarding public relations strategy value and best practices.
