A premier financial services organization based in Greenfield, Wisconsin, is seeking a talented communications professional to join their corporate affairs team. This is a strategic role focused on enhancing the brand reputation of the firm and its network of financial professionals through innovative external messaging and proactive media engagement.

In this position, you will serve as a primary contact for journalists across regional and national markets. You will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives that showcase the company’s planning expertise and business impact. The role involves high level consulting with internal stakeholders and field offices to ensure consistent and effective communication across all platforms, including social media and traditional news outlets.

Primary Responsibilities

Design and implement comprehensive external communication plans that align with corporate business goals.

Manage all aspects of media relations, from building reporter relationships and pitching stories to preparing executives for interviews and organizing press events.

Act as a strategic advisor to internal business units and external agency partners on public relations matters.

Develop thought leadership content and local market social media strategies to increase visibility.

Collaborate across the marketing and communications departments to ensure unified messaging for diverse audiences.

Analyze and report on PR metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of various campaigns and initiatives.

Qualifications

A minimum of six years of professional experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a related field.

A Bachelor degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a similar social science discipline.

Specific expertise in financial services communications or retail investment products is highly preferred.

Proven track record of securing high quality media placements at both the regional and national levels.

Exceptional writing and editing abilities with a talent for translating complex financial topics into relatable stories.

Demonstrated experience managing PR firms and guiding distributed teams across different geographic markets.

Strong proficiency in using digital and social media as core components of a public relations strategy.

Ability to provide high level counsel to stakeholders and influence decision making through strategic insight.

Compensation and Benefits

The hiring range for this position is between 75,600 and 113,400 per year, depending on the candidate's specific experience and location.
