The Social Media & Event Coordinator is responsible for attracting and interacting with our target audience, managing our reputation, and creating one-of-a-kind customer experiences through social media coordination, event planning, programming, and communications across all New Land Hospitality locations. This position is considered full-time with an average of 30 hours/week spent primarily on admin and event duties, but some bartending may be required if the location needs assistance.
Responsibilities:Social Media Coordination
- Create and coordinate editorial calendars
- Use social media channels to craft brand stories; generate, edit, and publish engaging content
- Build social media followers and engagement on applicable platforms for each property through
multiple avenues including but not limited to: strategic community engagement, targeted paid social ads, influencer partnerships, community promotions and contests
- Manage online reputation by responding to online reviews on a variety of platforms in a timely fashion; solicit positive reviews from community members, customers, visitors, etc. based on each brand platform
- Manage Loyalty perks through POS platform, SMS marketing, or email marketing
- With the support of the Marketing Team, create social tiles, flyers, infographics, table signs, menus
- Collaborate with supervisor and marketing team to establish marketing strategies that support profitability
- Capture and analyze data; use insights to guide social media strategy
- Manage marketing spend and identify opportunities for cost optimization
- Analyze sales mix
vs spend to determine sustainability and educate future marketing decisions
- Develop and oversee daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual programming & events calendar
- Keep
costs within the budget by recruiting sponsors and other funding
- Coordinate all applicable parties in the execution of each event, including onsite team and outside vendors, ensuring the entire event is set up for success from start to finish
- With the support of NLE Marketing Team, design marketing campaigns for each event, including but not limited to social media promotion, press, collaborations, digital & print media
- Train bartenders and 3rd party vendors on event standards and service standards
- Develop event briefs for the onsite team and provide training for all new hires
- Act as Manager on Duty when onsite
- 3-5+ years of proven experience in social media marketing and event coordination
- Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills
- Proficiency in graphic design and photo/video editing; understanding of social media analytics and tools, digital marketing, and marketing channels
- Strong organizational, communication, analytical, leadership, and project management skills
- Ability to work the hours needed for each location; including some nights and weekends to capture content during peak hours
