Position SummarySecure Futures is seeking a
Development Manager
to support the organization’s fundraising efforts and advance its development strategy.
Reporting to the Director of External Relations and working closely with the President & CEO, Board of Directors, and internal colleagues, the Development Manager supports the planning, execution, and tracking of fundraising activities across multiple revenue streams.
This role takes primary responsibility for corporate and foundation donor relationships and collaborates on individual and event-based giving. It is a hands‑on, collaborative position that balances execution with coordination and partnership.
Key Responsibilities- Support the design and execution of the annual fundraising plan
- Manage corporate and foundation donor relationships, including stewardship and reporting
- Support grant research, proposal development, and reporting in collaboration with internal partners
- Assist with donor engagement activities and fundraising events
- Support Board and committee engagement related to fund development
- Partner with marketing and communications colleagues on development-focused materials
- Maintain accurate records and reporting within the development database
- 3+ years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or a closely related field
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Strong relationship‑building, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfort managing multiple priorities in a collaborative environment
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar preferred)
- Ability to travel locally and attend occasional evening events
