- Fuel sustainable top-line revenue through increased donor acquisition and retention
- Develop strategies and tactics to increase workplace and corporate giving in portfolio of accounts. This includes researching, planning, organizing, soliciting gifts, managing workplace campaigns, and other
- aspects of partnerships. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with company decision-makers, ambassadors, assigned cabinet members and fundraising volunteers.
- Work with a team of temporary employees (Campaign Coordinators) during the campaign season.
- Manage Ambassador Program.
- This position reports to the Director, Resource Development.
- Develop timelines, key strategies and action plans for portfolio of accounts.
- Set campaign goals to increase campaign revenue and integrate plans necessary to achieve them.
- Prepare notes for and attend meetings with United Way leadership and/or Campaign Co-Chairs with executive level staff at companies in portfolio.
- Respond to company contacts in a timely manner. Provide an excellent experience for company contacts, donors
- and all other stakeholders during campaign and throughout the year.
- Manage collection of account information and input data to ensure accuracy of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Keep CRM up-to-date at all times.
- Research and develop plans for leadership and major gifts prospects within portfolio of accounts.
- Cultivate relationships with company decision-makers and other individuals having an influence on company corporate gifts, sponsor ships, volunteerism, and employee giving.
- Spend significant time interfacing with donors and potential donors.
- Set informed projections throughout campaign to ensure portfolio of accounts is on track.
- Assist and participate in trainings, meetings and recognition events for internal and external stakeholders. This could include temporary staff, workplace giving ambassadors, volunteers and cabinet members.
- Prepare and deliver presentations about United Way. Presentations will vary in topic, length and audience size.
- Support Volunteer Engagement team with volunteer event planning, preparation, execution, and cultivation plans for future giving.
- Prepare documentation and promote sponsorship opportunities for accounts to partner with United Way. Prepare and share annual sponsorship recaps with accounts.
- Work with a team of temporary employees. Establish expectations, monitor performance to goals, and provide timely coaching and feedback.
- Identify concerns and opportunities and direct appropriate actions in a timely manner.
- Provide on-going information and support for volunteers and Campaign Coordinators assigned to accounts.
- Gather data and observations at end of campaign period to determine future initiatives, identify challenges and solutions, and share best practices.
- Serve as liaison to United Way Worldwide and other Local United Ways for organizations headquartered in our market with locations elsewhere.
- Remain current with knowledge of internal processes and encourage process improvement when possible.
- Perform other tasks and duties specific to assigned portfolio of accounts.
- Cultivate positive relationships with assigned cabinet members and fundraising volunteers.
- Develop and review prospect lists with volunteers and make assignments based on information gathered.
- Prepare notes for fundraising volunteers assigned to accounts in portfolio.
- Provide prompt and regular communication with cabinet members and assigned volunteers.
- Provide staff support for Ambassador Division Cabinet Members.
- Prepare and maintain prospect lists.
- Analyze data, campaign results and trends as a basis for developing strategies for growth.
- Develop effective strategies to secure new corporate gifts, workplace campaigns, sponsor ships, and other new revenue, by identifying companies with the strongest relationships.
- Bring in at least five new accounts/streams of revenue annually. This can include new corporate gifts, new employee campaigns, new sponsor ships, and/or new Leadership and Tocqueville donors.
- Secure new gifts to support United Way's Key Initiatives.
- Ambassador Resources:
Work with Marketing and Communications to revise content, materials, monthly newsletters, and the Campaign Planning page to ensure most relevant information is communicated. - Ambassador Recognition Program:
Coordinate and execute an annual event recognizing our top Ambassadors. Review reports for accuracy and consult with account managers to ensure all appropriate Ambassadors are included.
