Development Officer

The Regional Chief Development Officer for the American National Red Cross leads a high-performing fundraising program across an assigned region. Reporting to senior leadership, this role drives strategy for major gifts, corporate and foundation partnerships, and regional campaigns to fuel humanitarian services, disaster response, and community programs. The RCDO manages and mentors a development team, engages boards and volunteer leaders, and leverages data to grow a robust donor pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional fundraising strategy to support Red Cross humanitarian programs and services.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, corporate partners, and foundations.
• Direct capital and regional campaigns, ensuring ambitious revenue goals are met.
• Manage and mentor development staff and collaborate with volunteer leaders.
• Leverage data and CRM tools to drive pipeline growth and donor engagement.
• Partner with national teams to align regional goals with organizational strategy.
