Major Donor Officer

The American National Red Cross seeks a Major Donor Officer to grow philanthropic support for its humanitarian mission. Based in Washington, DC, you will manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors, creating tailored cultivation and stewardship strategies, organizing visits and events, and preparing proposals and impact reports. Partnering with program and communications teams, you will align donor interests with key initiatives. This role offers a mission-driven, collaborative culture and the opportunity to make a visible impact through disaster relief, health, and community programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors to support Red Cross humanitarian programs
• Develop and implement personalized cultivation and stewardship plans
• Conduct donor meetings, events, and site visits to deepen engagement
• Prepare compelling proposals, impact reports, and presentations
• Collaborate with program and communications teams to align donor interests with funding needs
• Track activities and results in CRM, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting
• Meet or exceed annual revenue and relationship management goals
• Represent the Red Cross mission and values in the community
