Development Manager

The Development Manager at the American National Red Cross leads strategic fundraising to support disaster relief, blood services, and community programs. This role manages a portfolio of donors, cultivating and soliciting gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations through tailored outreach, proposals, and events. The manager partners with volunteers and cross-functional teams to design campaigns, analyze donor data, and report outcomes. Responsibilities

• Lead and execute annual and multi-year fundraising plans to meet revenue goals for humanitarian programs
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors and prospects
• Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, conducting research, outreach, and tailored proposals
• Coordinate fundraising campaigns, events, and digital appeals in partnership with volunteers and staff
• Analyze donor data, track metrics, and report on fundraising performance to leadership
• Collaborate with program, communications, and finance teams to align funding needs and impact stories
• Supervise or mentor development staff and key volunteers to strengthen fundraising capacity
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, policies, and ethical standards
