About Voces:

Voces de la Frontera is a membership-based community organization dedicated to protecting and advancing civil rights, workers’ rights, and immigrant rights through leadership development, community organizing, advocacy, and empowerment. We envision a future where all people can live with dignity, opportunity, and freedom from discrimination; where families have access to quality education, healthcare, and safe working conditions; and where communities are empowered to shape a more just, equitable, and inclusive society.

Position Summary:

The Interfaith Movement is a national movement of faith-based public witness and support for families affected by deportation, seeking to put an end to raids and deportations and achieve humane and just treatment of immigrants at the national level. At the local level, The Interfaith Movement is Voces de la Frontera’s faith-based outreach program. Our vision is to create a strong network rooted in Voces’ members of faith and allied faith-based organizations to support Voces’ immigrant justice campaigns and direct services for immigrants in need.

Essential

Duties:
  • Coordinate and build relationships with communities of faith.
  • Follow up with congregations who have formally pledged to be part of Voces/NSM to reinforce those relationships and recruit new congregations to sign on.
  • Maintain a centralized directory of religious contacts made by Voces organizers throughout the state.
  • Host meetings with church committees on Voces campaigns.
  • Mobilize the community of faith on Voces social justice issues
  • Recruit, organize and develop Voces members to be liaisons between Voces and their congregations to inform congregation members about Voces’ campaigns.
  • Organize ongoing orientation for new liaisons.
  • Organize a meeting twice a year for liaisons to discuss best practices, challenges, get to know each other, and upcoming actions or campaigns.
  • Serve as a link between families at the churches seeking assistance and Voces services
  • Identify volunteers who want to support accompanying immigrants to court or other direct service needs that have been identified by the Caminos program.
  • Help volunteers who organize vigils in front of ICE to use these actions strategically to elevate Voces campaigns through the communications team and attend monthly faith community meetings when needed.
  • Provide monthly written reports to the Voces C3 board.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to immigrant rights, social justice, and community organizing with passion for building power and creating positive change within the communities we serve.

Education & Experience
  • 1-2 years of relationship-based organizing, leadership development, and team building.
  • Strong knowledge of VAN is preferred.
  • Experience with digital organizing a plus
  • Experience in nonprofit, advocacy, or mission-driven organizations preferred.
Skills & Competencies
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish
  • Experience in community organizing, immigrant rights, advocacy, case management, crisis response, volunteer coordination, or related fields preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and public presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, databases, and other standard office technology.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel frequently throughout Wisconsin.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
