Verovian Nursing Agency is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Step-Down Unit in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

As an RN in the Step-Down Unit, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, monitoring patients' conditions, administering medications, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The Step-Down Unit specializes in patients who are stable but require close monitoring and intermediate care.

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Step-Down Unit.
• Monitor patients' conditions and assess their needs for nursing care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines.

Candidate requirements

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Step-Down or Intermediate Care Unit preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• NIH (National Institutes of Health) Stroke Scale certification is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient care assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
• 2 professional references.
