  Magnet Designation;
  Comprehensive Stroke Center;
  Beds: 933
• COVID vaccine required

• Staffing pattern:
  Pre/post 1:3; OR 1:1
• Patient Types:
  Outpatient;
  Elective surgeries 5am-5pm;
  Evenings, weekends, holidays for emergent cases
• Graft areas:
  Ophthalmology (cataracts, retina);
  Ortho (carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, cyst removals, occasional I&D, ORIF wrists);
  Breasts/ Plastics (breast reductions, implants, cancer cases, eye lifts, panniculectomies)
• Support on the unit:
  Receptionist/HUC 7a-5p;
  Charge nurse as needed; RT and Hospitalist 24/7;
  On-call physician 24/7
• Telemetry:
  Bedside;
  Phlebotomy for peripheral labs as needed
• Technology/Equipment: EMR (EPIC); IV pumps (Alaris);
  Pyxis; GE monitors
• Floating:
  None

• Orientation:
  Facility and unit; at least one shift to learn flow
• Scheduling:
  Weekend rotation;
  On-call required
• On-call details:
  Weekdays 3pm-midnight; 1 week every 5 weeks;
  Weekends 6am-midnight; 1 weekend every 5th weekend
• Response time: 30 minutes
• No sleep room available

• Fatigue policy: 60 hours per week max; 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts max
