Where You Will Work:

  • 4 Operating rooms
  • Come work for a Surgery Center that is hospital based - higher pay rate than stand alone surgery centers
  • Call rotation to cover Ophthalmology emergent cases
  • Surgery Center services: ophthalmology, ortho, and plastics

We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • One year experience - and or surgical experience

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Promote patient safety by implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly. Verifies patient identity, allergies, and surgical site
  • Educate patients and families, adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge.
  • Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum.
  • Lead and delegate effectively, fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance.
  • Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities.
  • Patient Care – positioning of patient, maintains sterile and safe environment, prepares the OR with necessary supplies, time outs, checks for inventory, and documents all aspects of the procedure

Schedule Details/Additional Information:

Monday–Friday, five 8-hour shifts, variable start times based on the surgical schedule. 0630 starts, with occasional later starts to support later-running ORs.
