Patient Types:
Top 3:
Ortho, GYN, General
General (cholecystectomy, appendectomy)
Bariatrics (robotic, laparoscopic)
35% of cases are ortho (total joint, sports medicine, ACDF, laminectomy, microdiscectomy)
Plastics (breast reconstruction, total, biopsy)
Urology (TURPS, cystoscopy, aquablation)
GYN (ruptured ectopic, total hysterectomy, D&C, hysteroscopy)
Robotic:
Davinci XI (experience required)
Striker Mako Robot for Joint replacement (knee mostly)
No neuro, complicated spine, baby deliveries
Covid & PPE:
All patients tested 72 hr prior to procedure
Urgent, Emergent Case: rapid testing
COVID up to the surgeon's decision

- Meet with NM, Educator (CBLs, Badge, Login Access, etc.)
Remainder of shift with preceptor on unit
2nd 5th day-orientation on unit with preceptor
