Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Optum On‑Site is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Waupaca and Marinette, WI.

As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care team, you’ll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone.

This role is primarily on‑site in Waupaca covering providers while they’re on PTO or completing CEUs. There will also be minimal coverage in Marinette. Mileage reimbursement is provided based on state requirements and if travel to a site assignment requires overnight stay, hotel and car rental are provided. Schedules are thoughtfully planned to reduce excessive travel and avoid regular back‑and‑forth between Waupaca and Marinette.

Waupaca Foundry: N WI‑22, Waupaca, WI

Mon‑Thurs: 7am‑6pm & Friday: 7am‑3pm

Marinette Foundry:
Hall Ave, Marinette, WI

Mon‑Tues and Thurs‑Fri: 7am‑5pm

• Deliver the highest quality primary care services including:
  Wellness and Preventative Physical Exams, Acute care of minor illness and injuries, Chronic Disease Management and Longitudinal care, Minor procedures (suturing, splinting, incision/drainage, etc.), Lifestyle and well‑being counseling, Medical management of behavioral health conditions

• Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC/AANP or certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA
• CPR certified
• 2+ years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant providing services in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, ambulatory, emergency or urgent care setting
• Experience with all ages including children and adolescents

• 2+ years of clinical experience in primary care or family medicine setting

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $, - $, per hour. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.
