Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4-5 eight-hour shifts with variable start times between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM

• Weekend rotation includes on-call 1 weekend every 5 weeks and 4 weeknights per 5 weeks

• 1 holiday on-call per contract

• 30-minute on-call response time required

• 1-week orientation provided

• Minimum 2 years of experience required

• First-time travelers are welcome

• Patient ratio of 1:1

• Required certification: BLS

• Required skills include ophthalmology procedures (cataract and retinal), orthopedic procedures (carpal tunnel), and general procedures (breasts/plastics)

• Charting systems and equipment used: EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis

• No floating required

• Surgical scrubs are provided; scrub caps must be covered by a surgical bouffant

• Free parking available with shuttle service to and from parking structure

• Starbucks and cafeteria on campus; no call rooms available

Facility:

This facility is a Level III Trauma Center and Level III NICU with Magnet Designation and Primary Stroke Center status, housing 636 beds. The operating room department includes 4 OR beds and is supported by a charge nurse, supervisor, and manager. The facility is well-equipped with modern technology and offers a collaborative environment for surgical technicians specializing in a variety of surgical disciplines.
