Registered Nurse (RN) | Long-Term Care
Location: Wausau, WI
Agency: United Health Care Staffing, Inc.
Pay: $56 to $59 per hour
Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Travel Nurse Source is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified Long-Term Care RN in Wausau, Wisconsin, 54401.
This RN – Long Term Care Night Shift position focuses on providing high-quality care across multiple skilled nursing environments including ventilator care, rehabilitation, dementia services, and long‑term care. Nurses should be comfortable working with ventilator‑dependent residents and performing essential clinical procedures while maintaining patient safety and dignity.
Roles and Responsibilities- Provide skilled nursing care to residents in long‑term care, rehabilitation, dementia, and ventilator units
- Perform suctioning, tube feeding administration, and wound care for ventilator patients
- Monitor and assess resident health status and respond to clinical changes
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident care plans
- Document care accurately in accordance with regulatory and facility standards
- Maintain infection control and safety practices
- Support post‑acute rehabilitation and skilled nursing services
- Float between units as assigned including vents, rehab, LTC, and dementia care
- Active Wisconsin RN License (required at submission)
- Active BLS Certification (AHA required)
- Ventilator and tracheostomy care experience required
- Experience in long‑term care, skilled nursing, or post‑acute rehabilitation preferred
- Ability to float between units and manage diverse patient populations
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Ventilator and tracheostomy care
