$500 Contract Completion Bonus
Schedule & General Requirements- No set schedules – must be available to work 7 days a week
- Plugged into the schedule where traveler is needed
- Every other weekend required; block scheduling and patterned scheduling not guaranteed
- Every other holiday required based on start date
- Scrubs provided
- Free designated parking available
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- First‑time travelers will not be accepted
- Level III Perinatal Care experience required – no exceptions
- Must have experience providing care for high‑risk mothers and newborns
- Must be knowledgeable in placenta accreta, tubal ligation, cerclage, hysterectomies, pre‑eclampsia, and massive transfusions
- Certifications:
BLS, NRP, FHMOB - Skills:
Fetal monitoring, maternal assessments & interventions, care for high‑risk newborns and mothers post‑delivery, cervical exams for labor progression, OB triage, post‑partum care, and L&D recoveries - Charting & equipment: EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis, fetal monitoring, epidural pumps
- Assist as secondary nurse for C‑section deliveries
- Circulate in vaginal deliveries, surgical recovery, and newborn care
- Maintain patient ratios: 1:1‑2 for active labor, 1:3 for antepartum; follow AWHONN staffing guidelines
- May float to Postpartum and Women’s Care Center units – travelers will float first
- Orientation: meeting with nurse manager on Day 1, training with preceptor on Day 2, assigned a work buddy on Day 3 with own patient assignment
This Level IV Trauma Center and teaching hospital has 228 beds and offers a comprehensive range of specialized services. It holds designations as a Level III NICU, Level III Perinatal Center, and Accreta Center of Excellence, as well as an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center. The unit supports charge nurses, clinical resource nurses, phlebotomy, respiratory therapy, certified nurse midwives, OBGYN providers, and OB anesthesia available onsite 24/7.
