Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to high-risk mothers and newborns. The RN will deliver safe, compassionate care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team in a Level III Perinatal Center.

- Level III NICU
- Level III Perinatal Center
- Accreta Center of Excellence
- Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center
- COVID vaccine required
- 20-bed Labor & Delivery unit
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience required
- First-time travelers not accepted
- EMR:
Epic
Level III Perinatal Care experience is mandatory (no exceptions).
Candidates must have experience caring for:
- High-risk mothers and newborns
- Placenta accreta patients
- Massive transfusions
- Pre-eclampsia and COVID-positive patients
- Surgical recovery and postpartum care
- Vaginal deliveries and C-section support
- BLS
- NRP
- FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring)
- Fetal monitoring
- Maternal assessments and interventions
- Cervical exams and labor progression assessment
- OB triage
- Postpartum and L&D recovery care
- High-risk maternal/newborn care
- Assist with circulating C-sections
- Primary nurse for vaginal deliveries
- Procedure assistance
- Active Labor: 1:1 2
- Antepartum: 1:3
- Staffing follows AWHNN guidelines
- Charge Nurse
- Clinical Resource Nurse
- Respiratory Therapy
- House Supervisor
- Certified Nurse Midwives
- OBGYN Providers
- OB Anesthesia available 24/7
- Shared phlebotomy responsibilities
- Epic
- Alaris Pumps
- Pyxis
- Fetal Monitoring Systems
- Epidural Pumps
Required to float to:
- Postpartum
- Women's Care Center
- Inpatient Women's Unit
Travelers float first.
Schedule- No guaranteed block scheduling
- Must be available 7 days/week
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday based on start date
- Day 1:
Hospital onboarding and unit orientation - Day 2:
Preceptor training - Day 3:
Work buddy with patient assignment
