Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM)/MPU

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM)/MPU at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center functions as a clinical expert and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. The person in this role assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components. They function as a role model, educator, practitioner, and supervisor providing leadership to the team.

The Medical Procedure ANM is also responsible for the following duties:

• Supporting the Nurse Manager (NM) with supervisory duties.
• Demonstrating leadership in delivering and improving holistic care using collaborative strategies with others.
• Assuming responsibility and accountability for the direction and supervision of specific orientation, training, and development of staff.
• Providing input into the evaluation of individual staff performance.
• Engaging in professional organizations to enhance leadership and career growth.
• Equipping staff with tools for competent care.
• Promoting accountability for high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
• Cultivating alliances across the care continuum.
• Contributing to the development of care delivery models and environmental design to ensure evidence-based, accessible, affordable, and equitable patient care.
• Aligning nurse clinical objectives with organizational strategic outcomes.
• Providing coverage for other ANMs, as needed.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
