Overview
Our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit is seeking a dynamic, experienced nurse to join our team of nursing excellence. Join Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, a six-time designated Magnet Medical Center.
Qualifications- 1+ year acute care RN experience required
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong interest and passion for cardiac care
- Commitment to teamwork, communication, and continual professional growth
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and effective communication while contributing to a safe patient environment and high-quality care across the continuum.
CICU 8S is a 24-bed high-acuity unit on the 8th floor of the Garden Tower at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. CICU cares for critically ill cardiac/interventional cardiac patients, including diagnoses of acute MI, cardiogenic shock, dysrhythmias, multisystem organ failure, pre-heart transplant, complex pre/post stent, valvuloplasty, TAVR, and other complex medical patients.
