Medical Specialty Outpatient Clinic:
Neurology and PM&R Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. The RN assumes responsibility for coordinating care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. This position will help support the Neuro/PM&R clinics. The Neurology and PM&R Registered Nurse provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to Veterans with acute and chronic neurological, neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and functional rehabilitation needs.

The RN serves as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team, partnering with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize Veteran outcomes. The RN supports Veterans with conditions including, but not limited to, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, migraine/headache syndromes, ALS, neuropathies, chronic pain conditions, mobility impairments, and other rehabilitation-focused diagnoses. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provides comprehensive nursing assessment, triage, and care management for Veterans with complex neurological and rehabilitation needs.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary care plans involving providers, therapists, pharmacists, and prosthetics
• Educates Veterans and caregivers regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, disease progression, symptom management, and rehabilitation goals.
• Supports specialty clinics and procedures, including neurological therapies, injections, and rehabilitation-focused interventions.
• Promotes Veteran independence, functional recovery, safety, and self-management through evidence-based nursing interventions.
• Utilizes clinical judgment to identify changes in patient condition and initiates appropriate interventions to ensure timely, high-quality care.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives, performance measures, patient experience efforts, and operational excellence activities.
• Serves as an advocate for Veterans and caregivers while fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, and Veteran-centered care.

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
