Registered Nurse; RN Operating Room

Position Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room – St. Luke’s Main OR, Milwaukee, WI. Full‑time position with 40 hours per week. Pay range $38.20–$57.30 per hour. Requires state RN license, 1–2 years OR experience, BLS certification.

• 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday–Friday (orientation). Variable start times; future shift to be determined upon completion of orientation.
• 80 hours per pay period.
• Future rotating call after orientation; must meet 30‑minute call requirement.
• Weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

• Provide circulator role during surgeries, serving as patient advocate.
• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, technologists, and residents to ensure superior surgical outcomes.
• Participate in didactic education, digital modules, lab practice, simulations, role‑playing, and hands‑on practice.
• Prepare and maintain operating room equipment and supplies.
• Assist in patient preparation and intra‑operative monitoring.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in patient evacuation drills.
• Adhere to AORN standards and safety protocols.
• Lift up to 35 pounds or use patient‑handling equipment for heavier lifts.

• State‑issued RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1–2 years OR experience.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, variable shifts, and on call.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
