Job Title: RN Dialysis - Chronic
Location: Milwaukee, WI 53225
Duration: 3 months with possible extension
Schedule: 3x12s, Day Shift
Hours per week:
At least 36 hours
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) required.
- Active RN license (State or Multi-State Compact).
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum one year of dialysis nursing experience within the last five years.
Job Description:
- As an RN Chronic Dialysis Nurse, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients receiving scheduled outpatient hemodialysis treatments. You will assess patients before, during, and after treatment, ensure the safe operation of dialysis equipment, administer prescribed medications, and educate patients on managing chronic kidney disease and maintaining their treatment plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments to ensure safe and effective care.
- Administer prescribed medications and respond promptly to treatment-related complications.
- Assess patients' physical condition, vital signs, and fluid status throughout treatment.
- Educate patients on chronic kidney disease management, medication compliance, fluid and dietary restrictions, and home care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with nephrologists and the interdisciplinary care team.
