- MA:
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required. - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices.

Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years. - LPN:
Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, varying between 07:00am-5:00pm pending physician needing support.
As a Medical Assistant/LPN, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
For Medical Assistants the pay starts between $22-23/hr for LPN the pay starts between $/hr. Pay is determined by experience and qualifications of the position. Leaders may be willing to offer more with prior direct experience in the role.

Aurora Pediatrics is a pediatric primary care clinic within the Aurora Health Center that provides comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents. Pediatricians focus on preventive care, well-child visits, immunizations, growth and development monitoring, and treatment of acute and chronic childhood illnesses.
- Well-child exams and annual checkups
- Vaccinations and preventive care
- Diagnosis and treatment of common childhood illnesses and injuries
- Growth and developmental assessments
- School and sports physicals
- Coordination with pediatric specialists when needed
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
